…a message to you, dear visitor, from the author…
“I have been a lifelong lover of books. I can remember as a child, and later, as a teenager, reading anything and everything that I could get my hands on including the old encyclopedia set handed down from my grandmother. Often during the humid summers of Tennessee, unbeknownst to my parents, I would stay up late reading into the wee hours of the morning. Oh the adventures I had without ever leaving home! I remember those dark and quiet hours fondly. I can only assume that my parents thought sleeping to almost midday was a teenager “thing”…
As an adult, there is something so pointedly nostalgic to me about walking into a library or a book store. There is a particular smell that pervades a place that honors the written word. I simply love the smell of books and the way they feel in your hands as you turn each page. Although I have been known to download an “ebook”, they never replace the real thing, at least for me.
Please enjoy having a look around my site and consider signing up for the latest news.”
